In Crossy Road Castle, you do a mix of running to the right, like in Mario, and climbing upward, like Donkey Kong. With old-school Super Mario Bros., you could play in two-player mode but one player would play and then the next player would play and you'd compare scores. That makes it a much more Nintendo-like experience, so it makes sense that Hipster Whale chose to put it on Apple Arcade, which is curated for family-friendly gaming and allows up to six people in one family group to share a single subscription.
